If you struggle to stay focused when studying, writing, painting, sparking creativity, sleeping, or getting work done, this free service is tailored to suit your needs.

Individuals with ADHD often find it easier to concentrate and stay on task when accompanied by white noise in their environment. This could be softly playing music, the gentle hum of a fan in the corner, or the steady flow of air from an overhead vent. Research has shown that white noise offers potential benefits for individuals with inattention, but not impulsivity. However, it should be noted that these benefits only exist when the white noise is present. In reality, people cannot control the sounds that surround them throughout the day. Although researchers are exploring whether white noise could provide complementary support for individuals with inattentive ADHD, the evidence thus far remains inconclusive.

Research on white noise for inattentive ADHD

While most studies on white noise have primarily focused on children in elementary or middle school, the findings are believed to be applicable to teenagers and adults as well.
